Yes, I can come to your school, instruments-in-hand, and speak/sing/play about the
subjects of my books. For JIMI, I'll bring an electric guitar, and focus on the theme of
sound and color in Jimi's life and music. For BOB, I'll have an acoustic guitar, talk about
the importance of a teacher-mentor in one's life, and how thoughts and feelings can be
turned into song. For JOHN, I'll bring a beautiful saxophone and focus on the power of
music to heal, transform, and inspire, as seen in Coltrane's own life.

I'm a pretty good musician, and an engaging speaker. I love to make kids laugh, and use
humor to teach and entertain. I also like to share audio and video clips from my subjects'
musical performances that are powerful and instructive.
